Andreas Wildberger
Short Bio
I joined the General Programmes division of FFG (Austrian Research Promotion Agency) in November 2003 and left it end of October 2008. In General Programmes, my responsibilities were strategy and knowledge management as well as project selection and project monitoring activities in the bottom up programme of FFG’s industrial research promotion scheme. I participated in the TAFTIE taskforce on additionality since 2003.
Prior to joining FFG, I worked for a small Swiss start up company specialising in business analytics. The company was founded based on the results of a research project at the International Institute of Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland. The project at IMD was a two-year research effort successfully establishing a tool to assess the information effectiveness of organisations.
I received my doctorate and formal academic training at the Institute for Management Information Systems, University of Economics and Business Administration, Vienna Austria, where I worked as assistant professor for three years, focusing on the Internet and its impact on business processes.
I now work for the
Internet Service Providers Austria (ISPA).
Involvement in SmartAgency.Net
While focusing on the theoretical framework for the first two years of the task force, the past 1,5 years (actually a little more than that) I was mainly the (missing?) link to the
contractor who programmed the
SelfAssessmentSoftware, trying to translate the reporting needs of a facilitator to something a software developer could take and build something upon it ... .
In 2006, together with the chairman of the task force,
KhNarfelt, I co-authored the paper
"Additionality and Funding Agencies" presented at the Conference
New Frontiers in Evaluation, April 2006. In December 2006 a whole issue of the fteval newletter was devoted to the subject
"Inspiring Funding Agencies to Make a Difference". In this issue, I was the co-author (again with
KhNarfelt) of the paper "The White Box Approach to Agency Effectiveness".
More recently, I was involved in setting up this TWiki Site for SmartAgency.Net.
